Homecare Employee's Take The iCare Spirit!
2017's iCare Purple Run introduced the addition of a team 5k challenge to its roster of events for participants, in a bid to prove team work really does make the dream work.
Without question, Homecare employees were ready to show their competitive edge once again with Kris McCall, Dave Mulgrave, Daniel McDermott and Stephen Murdock joining together to fly the Homecare flag amongst other local businesses who entered. The challenging 5k course amidst the trees of Gosford Forest Park, Co Armagh pushed competitors to their limits on Saturday 12th August. With strength and determination from our team, they once again proved stamina and talent lays amongst our work force with impressive times recorded for team Homecare.
Despite the retirement of Mo Farrah, all four of our boys have successfully returned to their jobs at HCIL and have contented themselves with training for next years event as opposed to Japan's 2020 Olympics.
We would like to once again thank our Homecare 5k challenge team as well as those who volunteered on the day to make iCare's Purple Run another huge success. Without the help of Homecare Independent Living employees it would not have been possible to raise the astounding £8320 for SANDS (Stillborn and Neonatal Death Support), Air Ambulance and the Fight for Alfie. The contribution and continued support of all our employees is the reason we can together, make a difference in our local community.
